Due to continued extreme cold, FCS will remain CLOSED on Friday, 1/30/26.

  • Today marks our 7th calamity day. In accordance with current board policy, any days that are missed after the 5th calamity day must be made up. At this time, up to three days may be made up through remote learning. As a result, Friday, 1/30/26 will be FCS Remote Learning Day #2.
  • Regarding student expectations for remote learning days and associated assignments, building principals will share details with families. This information will be communicated via ParentSquare.
  • Please continue to stay safe and warm.

 

Due to the current weather conditions, the scheduled regular Board Meeting for January 26, 2026, in the Franklin High School Media Center on 140 E 6th St, Franklin, OH 45005 will be postponed and rescheduled for February 2, 2026. The rescheduled regular meeting on February 2, 2026 will also be held in the Franklin High School Media Center on 140 E 6th St, Franklin, OH 45005 and will begin at 6 p.m.

Environmental Reports

Operations and Management Program:

The Operations & Maintenance Program has been established for Franklin City School District located at 150 E. Sixth Street, Franklin, Ohio 45005. An Operations and Maintenance (O&M) program is a formulated plan of training, cleaning, work practices, and surveillance to maintain asbestos-containing materials (ACM) within buildings in good condition. The goal is to minimize exposure of all building occupants to asbestos fibers. Link to all buildings can be found here.

Hazard Communications Program:

This Hazard Communication Program has been established for employees of Franklin City School District’s to comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Hazard Communication Standards, 29 CFR 1910.1200 and 29 CFR 1926.59. The purpose of this program is to inform interested persons, including employees, that our company is complying with the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, Title 29 Code of Federal Regulations 1910.1200, by compiling a hazardous chemicals list, using safety data sheets (SDSs), ensuring that containers are labeled or provided with other forms of warning, and training our employees.
