Franklin City School District Board of Education Seeks Member to Fill Vacancy


The Franklin City School District Board of Education seeks a qualified resident to fill a vacancy in the Board of Education for the remainder of the vacant member's term, which expires on December 31, 2020.

To be considered for the vacancy, an applicant must be a resident in the District, eligible to vote and willing to serve for the remainder of the term. Interested candidates must submit a resume accompanied by a letter of interest to the attention of the Board President Chris Sizemore at 150 East Sixth Street, Franklin, Ohio 45005. The deadline for submission is Wednesday, February 7th.  Submissions will be time stamped. No resumes will be considered if they are received after the deadline.

By law, vacancies on a board of education are filled by a majority vote of all the remaining board members at the next regular or special meeting held at least ten days after the vacancy occurs. In this instance, the appointment will occur at the regular meeting scheduled to take place on February 12, 2018 .
