Board of Education Meetings:

  • Work Sessions will be held the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
  • Regular Board Meetings will be held the fourth Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. 
  • Meetings are in the Franklin High School Media Center.
  • No Work Session meeting scheduled in July or December.
  • All board meetings include time for public comments.

The Board of Education for Franklin City Schools will hold a special meeting on March 17 at 5:00 p.m. in both the Franklin High School Media Center and Large Conference Room, which are adjoining rooms, on 140 E 6th St, Franklin, OH 45005. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and strategize the School Board's vision and mission. No action is anticipated.

  

The next board meeting is March 9, 2026, in the FHS Media Center.  The agenda will be available on Friday, 3/6, by 3 p.m.

The School Counselors follow the American School Counselor Association's National Model when implementing the Franklin High School Counseling Curriculum.

The counselors coordinate or assist with:

  • Building-wide scheduling
  • Testing: End-of-Course Exams, ACT, PSAT, AP, ASVAB, etc.
  • College and Career Readiness
  • Academic Needs
  • Social-Emotional issues that may be impacting a student's academic success
  • Collaboration with parents, teachers, administrators, and outside agencies
  • 504 meetings with families and teachers

Mrs. Jocelyn Bialk - Student Support Counselor

The Student Support Counselor is a licensed mental health counselor (LPCC-S) who is available to all students. 

The goal of the counselor is to address anything (related to social/emotional or basic needs) that would serve as a barrier to learning and being successful in school. Typically these are acute issues that arise throughout the school day.

The counselor coordinates and assists with:

  • Addressing short-term social emotional issues through supportive counseling
  • Collaborates with staff and fields concerns about students
  • Conducting Risk assessments
  • Referrals to community resources to address things such as basic needs or more intensive mental health services
  • Coordinating building-wide social-emotional learning for students 9-12

For all general inquiries/questions/concerns, Mrs. Shockley can get you in touch with the appropriate staff member. Mrs. Shockley also handles all graduation verifications and transcript requests from past graduates.

New students should complete pre-registration on Franklin City School's website

And then finish enrollment with an appointment at Central Office - 754 E. Fourth Street (located behind the Junior High School).
