Franklin City Schools uses the My Ride K-12 app to assist families and students with school transportation. Info about this app is linked from the homepage of our website and may also be accessed directly on this website.

Once you sign up, you can see whether your student is eligible for district transportation and if so, info about your student’s bus service.

To use this app, download it from either Google Play or the App Store.

  1. Create a new account or sign in if you already have an account.
  2. Creating a new account: Add your email address, your given (first) name, your family (last) name, and a password. Click Sign Up.
  3. The app will send a confirmation email to the email you used to sign up; follow the instructions to verify your email.
  4. Once your email is verified, return to the app and click continue and you will return to the sign-in page; login with your email and password.
  5. The next step is to find your district: Franklin City Schools. Select it.
  6. Add your student. You will need your student’s ID number (the student’s lunch account number). Parents can find this information in ProgressBook.
  7. Enter the student’s birthday, MM/DD/YYYY.  Hit next.
  8. It will bring up a student. If this is your child, hit add student.
  9. You can add additional students by hitting “add another student.”
  10. Hit “back to student” where you can see bus location and details.

If you are unsure whether your student can ride the bus, go to the hamburger menu (the three horizontal lines) on the top left of the screen, and click “school search.” Hit “public,” and add your address, choose search. The app will say whether or not bus service is available.

The student address info is pulled from our central student information system, so it is important to make sure that is up-to-date. You will update that information in Registration Gateway.

If you have any questions, please contact the transportation department at (937) 743-8670.
