Start of School Transportation Update 8/12/26
Posted Date: 08/12/26 (04:00 PM)
Hello Wildcat Families! š¾š
As we gear up for Thursday, August 13th, we have some important updates and reminders regarding school transportation!
š± App Updates:Ā Bus route information is available on theĀ My Ride K-12 App.
- Already have it? Youāll need to uninstall and reinstall the app, as it was updated over the summer.
- Need to download it? Directions are on the Franklin City Schools website under the Transportation tab.
- To link your account: You will need your studentās ID number (found in ProgressBook/same as their lunch number) and their 8-digit birthdate.
The first week of school is always a busy adjustment period. We ask for everyone's patience and kindness as our drivers, teachers, staff, and students get used to new schedules and review safety protocols.
Expect delays the first few days:
- Buses will likely run 10-15 minutes late, especially on the first two days as teachers help younger students navigate the building.
- In the afternoons, buses do not leave the school until all students are safely accounted for and we have the "all clear."
- If you call the transportation department and we can't answer, please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
- For immediate assistance, please call your studentās school building office, and they can radio the driver.
Thank you,
Your Wildcat Transportation Staff š¾
