Principal's Message

Schenck Principal

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Wm. C. Schenck Elementary School.  This is my sixth year as the building’s principal and my thirty-first year as an educator.  I am very proud to be a part of this community in which parents, teachers and students care for each other and work together to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth.

I invite you to become an active participant in our school community through volunteering, joining our PTO, attending parent/teacher conferences and attending and supporting school events. Research clearly shows that when parents/guardians participate and are involved in their child’s education, there is a greater likelihood of academic success for the child. Together, we will provide the very best for the children of Schenck Elementary.

It is our goal at Franklin City Schools to ensure that all students achieve and grow. To do this, we must create a safe, inclusive, and positive environment. We have high expectations for our students both academically and behaviorally. Please help us by supporting these expectations at home. At Schenck, we use the acronym G.R.O.W. as a reminder of the expectations in all aspects of the day:

Geared up and prepared

Ownership of actions

Willing to always try and do your best

I am honored to be part of the Schenck Elementary team and excited to make this the best school year yet!  If you have any questions, please contact me at 937-743-8665 or
