Board of Education Meetings:

  • Work Sessions will be held the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
  • Regular Board Meetings will be held the fourth Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. 
  • Meetings are in the Franklin High School Media Center.
  • No Work Session meeting scheduled in July or December.
  • All board meetings include time for public comments.

The Board of Education for Franklin City Schools will hold a special meeting on March 17 at 5:00 p.m. in both the Franklin High School Media Center and Large Conference Room, which are adjoining rooms, on 140 E 6th St, Franklin, OH 45005. The Board will first discuss and strategize the School Board's vision and mission. No action is anticipated for this portion of the meeting. After these items, the Board will hold an executive session for the appointment and compensation of a public employee or official and may have a vote to appoint a public official. 

 

The next board meeting is March 23, 2026, in the FHS Media Center.  The agenda will be available on Friday, 3/20, by 3 p.m.

Kindergarten Registration for 2026-2027

Kindergarten registration for the 2026-2027 school year will begin April 7, 2026, for all students turning five on or before August 13, 2026.

Parents or guardians should complete the online pre-registration process beginning Monday, March 30. If you do not have a computer, one will be available at the Welcome Center. Once you have completed the online registration, you will be required to make an appointment beginning Tuesday, April 7.

The following documents are required for registration:

  • Original Birth Certificate
  • Shot/Immunization Records
  • Parent/Guardian Driver’s License/State ID
  • Proof of Residency (Rental/Lease Agreement, Land/Purchase Contract, Electric or Water Bill. The items listed are the only items that will be accepted.
  • Custody Papers/Court Ordered Placement (if applicable) 

Students will not be admitted until they have met all of the above requirements. We strongly encourage families to complete the registration of their kindergarten students as soon as possible to assist in the proper placement of all students.
