Hunter Elementary School

About Our School

Mrs. Trusdell

Principal's Corner

Erin Truesdell joins us from Northern Virginia just outside of Washington D.C. with six years of administrative experience and 10 years of work in the education field.  She is a graduate of Ashland University where she earned her Bachelors degree in Middle Grades Education and of the University of Cincinnati where she earned her Masters in Educational Leadership.  After college, Erin moved to Cincinnati where she taught 8th grade prealgebra in Hamilton at Garfield Middle School.  From there, she was promoted to a Dean of Students role in one of Hamilton's elementary schools, Highland Elementary.  After two years at Highland, she moved to Northern Virginia where she was an assistant principal at Mount Daniel School in Falls Church City.  After two years as the Assistant Principal, she was promoted to principal of Mount Daniel upon the former principal's retirement.  During her two years as principal there, she managed an extensive construction project in addition to maintaining high quality instructional programs for students.  It was a tough decision to leave, but she was ready to bring her family back to the midwest.  She is excited to join the Franklin Family at Hunter for the 2018-2019 school year!
