IMMEDIATE RELEASE

March 23, 2026

Franklin City Schools Welcomes Robyn Donisi to the Board of Education

The Franklin City Schools Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Robyn Donisi to the Board of Education. Donisi fills the vacancy left by Ashley Blevins, who resigned last month. Donisi, who was appointed at a special board meeting on Tuesday, March 17, fills an unexpired term that will end on Dec. 31, 2027.

A lifelong resident of Franklin, Donisi has a 33-year career in education spanning classroom teaching, building-level leadership, and district-level administration which provides her a comprehensive view of the complexities of a school system. In her application letter, Donisi noted “It would be a privilege to again serve the community that has been the cornerstone of my personal and professional life.”

Donisi said, “I am honored by this appointment and looking forward to seeing how I can help. I am deeply invested in the continued success of our schools and the future of our students.

Board President Andy Fleming welcomed Donisi saying, “Mrs. Donisi has shown an unwavering commitment to Franklin City Schools, and we are confident that her leadership, experience, and dedication will serve our students and community well.”

Donisi will be sworn in at the Board of Education meeting on March 23, 2026. The Franklin City Schools community looks forward to her contributions as the district continues its mission to provide innovative and inclusive education opportunities for all students.
