FHS Incident

Press Release | November 15, 2024

At approximately 8:30 am this morning, there was an incident involving a student in the main office of our high school campus. School Resource Officer (SRO) Lacon was immediately contacted and responded to the scene, as well as additional support from the Franklin Police Department. By 8:35 am, the main office was evacuated in response to the situation, and the student was detained. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were called to the scene as a precautionary measure.

There were no weapons involved, and at no point in time was there a threat to other students’ safety. All students and staff that evacuated were safe at all times and accounted for quickly.

We appreciate the exemplary behavior of our students, the professionalism of our office staff, and their adherence to the safety protocols for this situation. We are thankful to the personnel of the Franklin Police Department and Emergency Medical Services, who were on site quickly and assisted with the incident.

The main office staff returned to their normal activities at approximately 8:50 am.

Sincerely,

Lori Limon

Principal
