A message from Chief Whitman:

The City of Franklin is partnering with Caring Partners a local Mission Resource Center located on Shotwell Drive here in Franklin to collect personal hygiene/cleaning supplies for areas affected by hurricane season.

We are also partnering with community businesses and churches along with the Franklin City Schools as collection points for the hygiene supplies.  The Franklin Street Department will drop off collection barrels this week.  When the barrels get full, just call the PD 746-2882 to have the barrels emptied and the street department will take the supplies down to Caring Partners who will then box the items and ship it down to affected areas.

Personal hygiene items are:
  • Soap
  • Deoderant
  • Tooth Paste
  • Tooth Brushes
  • Paper Towels
  • Cleaning Supplies
  • Diapers
  • Diaper Wipes
  • Water or Gatorade
We can not except prescriptions, clothing items, or food items.

Staff and students can volunteer to help Caring Partners to sort and box supplies for shipping, which can be scheduled with Caring Partners.

Thank you for all of your help!  We will do the media and social media blitz once the barrels are in place.  We will also send out flyers.

As always, Thank you for helping keep Franklin a great place to live!
