Safety Announcement

Posted on: November 20, 2020 6:00 pm
Please see the message below from Dr. Sander, Superintendent of Franklin City Schools:

I want to take this opportunity today to reinforce our commitment to keep the Franklin City Schools open this school year, and to keep providing our students with in-person instruction. But we cannot do this alone. We need your help and the next six weeks will be key to our success.

With the holiday season approaching, I realize you, like all of us, want to spend time with family and friends. As you and your family participate in holiday activities, please do not let your guard down. Please also reinforce with your children the importance of maintaining necessary safety practices.

In order to stay healthy, we need to continue to follow the safety guidelines given to us from medical professionals, including local and state health officials.

Please continue to maintain social distancing whenever possible. Wear a mask. Limit the number of people that you have interactions with. Wash your hands frequently. Finally, please remember, if your child does not feel well or is showing symptoms please do not send them to school.

Working together to follow all of these practices will help to limit the spread of COVID, and help us keep our schools open.

Thank you and have a wonderful weekend.
