The Board of Education for Franklin City Schools will move the dates of its already scheduled regular meetings on April 8 and June 24, both of which were to be held at 6 p.m. These rescheduled regular meetings will now be scheduled as special meetings for April 11 and June 17 at 6 p.m. These meetings will still be held in the Franklin Junior High School Cafeteria on 750 E 4th St, Franklin, OH 45005. The purpose of these meetings is to hold a rescheduled regular meeting for general purposes.

The Board of Education for Franklin City Schools will hold a special meeting on April 17 at 5:00 p.m. in the Franklin Junior High School Cafeteria on 750 E 4th St, Franklin, OH 45005. The purpose of this meeting is to hold an executive session to discuss personnel, employment matters, and the potential sale of property. No action is anticipated.

Student Achievement

Students honored at Board Meeting.

The Franklin Board of Education recognized Student Achievement honorees at the August 22 board meeting. Eight Franklin Junior High students were honored: Kelsea Madden (OSHAA Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award), Madison Powell (8th grade female Wildcat of the Year 2015-16), Lexi Lewis (7th grade female Wildcat of the Year 2015-16), Joel Hines (7th grade male Wildcat of the Year 2015-16), Bryan Thacker (OSHAA Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award), Braden Woods (8th grade male Wildcat of the Year 2015-16), and Corbon Moss (Leona Irons Historical Society Award from the Warren County Historical Society). Honored but not pictured: Sidnie Penny (Leona Irons Historical Society Award from the Warren County Historical Society). The Student Achievement Award was established in January 2001 to honor students who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in academics, community service, or character.
