The Franklin High School Band and Color Guard make Franklin Proud.

On Saturday, October 13, 2018, at the Mason Band Competition, the Franklin High School Band won 3rd place for class AA, and the Color Guard won Best Auxiliary for AA class and Best Overall Auxiliary in both AA and A classes. It was an amazing show and a fantastic win that was only achievable through the hard work of the students and the outstanding coaching from Mr. Josh Long (Band Director), Amanda Burtrum (Assistant Director)  Missy Townsend (Color Guard Director), Kristina Holweger (Assistant Color Guard Director), Kendra Parker (Percussion), and support staff Nathan Jefferies and Kirsten Jones. #FCSwildcatPride

Color Guard

The Franklin Winter Guard is the competition performance division of color cuard.  We are comprised of 3 teams: Elementary, Junior High, and High School.  The high school team works in conjunction with the band during fall. Then, during the winter months, we compete all across Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky in the Mid East Performance Association.

Winter Guard is especially important to Franklin schools as it provides alternative sports options for students to maintain physical fitness. Our practices incorporate cardiovascular exercise, stability training, and strength development.  Our performances provide a creative outlet, fostering various skills from dance, gymnastics, and theatre.

In 2017, the Franklin Winter Guard celebrated its 20th year of competing in the sport of the arts.
