Attendance Ski Trip

Posted on: February 16, 2016 12:00 am

Last Wednesday, one hundred and forty FHS students attended a trip to Perfect Slopes in Indiana.  The students had a great time hitting the slopes as a reward for their good attendance.  I received numerous compliments on their behavior during the trip and want to thank them for making the trip a successful one.

Students qualified to attend the trip through attaining excellent or perfect attendance during the first semester. Over three hundred students qualified to attend.  The ski trip is part of the high school's efforts to promote and reward good attendance, based on the belief that when students attend school they do better academically.  The trip was paid for in part with money received from the Franklin City School's Spark Grant.  This grant is financed with money donated from the George and Margaret McLane Foundation.

Special thanks goes out to Mrs. Tonija Fidler and Mrs. Karen Back for organizing the trip on behalf of our students.
