Posted on: April 12, 2022 3:00 pm

FHS senior Fang "Nina" Lin was recently honored as one of Warren County's recipients of the 2022 Franklin B. Walter award. Nina, who has a long list of academic and personal accomplishments, chose FHS instructor Kelly Brock as her mentor.

Recipients receive a $500 scholarship from the Warren County Educational Service Center; their mentor receives a $250 stipend for classroom use. The Franklin B. Walter award was established in 1989 by Ohio's County Superintendents to recognize student achievement and to promote academic accomplishment.

Warren County has 10 Walter Award recipients, one from each Warren County public school district, the Warren County Career Center, and the Greater Ohio Virtual School. Recipients are chosen based on academic achievements, personal accomplishments, and community service.
