 English Language Learners

There is a growing population of students in the area in which English is not the language spoken in the home.  This can make it difficult for the student to understand the information given in the classroom.  We are here to help!  Please call our TESOL teacher, Debbie Erwin, at 937-743-8601 or by email at derwin@franklincityschools.com

HOMELESS STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES

The McKinney Vento Act is part of Title VII, Part B of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act.  This federal program defines homelessness as: individuals who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence.

If you feel that this describes your living situation, please contact our Homeless Liaison, Novalee Hillard at (937)746-1699.  She will be able to give you information that may assist your family.
