The Board of Education for Franklin City Schools will move the dates of its already scheduled regular meetings on April 8 and June 24, both of which were to be held at 6 p.m. These rescheduled regular meetings will now be scheduled as special meetings for April 11 and June 17 at 6 p.m. These meetings will still be held in the Franklin Junior High School Cafeteria on 750 E 4th St, Franklin, OH 45005. The purpose of these meetings is to hold a rescheduled regular meeting for general purposes.

The Board of Education for Franklin City Schools will hold a special meeting on April 17 at 5:00 p.m. in the Franklin Junior High School Cafeteria on 750 E 4th St, Franklin, OH 45005. The purpose of this meeting is to hold an executive session to discuss personnel, employment matters, and the potential sale of property. No action is anticipated.

Environmental Science Field Trip

This past Friday, the FHS environmental science classes went on a field trip to the Warren County Pump Station and the Waste Water Treatment Plant in Franklin. On this trip, the students learned how water is drawn from the aquifer, delivered to their homes, and how it is cleaned and returned to the water system after being treated. The students also learned the requirements needed to work at the two locations.

This was a great opportunity for the students to learn how water is delivered to their homes and how this sustainable resource, if misused, can be depleted and/or contaminated.
